Hostexcellence
offers a
web hosting solution for just over $3/month or about $0.11/day
Hostexcellence
offers a quality web hosting plan that would only cost you about
$0.11 per day. This is the cheapest web hosting plan around and
if you're thinking about using a free web host then you may want
to consider Hostexcellence instead. They have a free website
builder with their hosting plan, reliable servers, great
customer service, and many other things that you won't find with
a free web host.
If you decide on
Hostexcellence or another discount web host then be sure to
register your domain name through a domain registrar like
Godaddy
before you sign up for your web hosting plan.
There are a few reasons for this.
1. Saves you money. Domain registrars
typically charge much less to register a domain. For example,
Godaddy will register your
domain for under $3 for the first year and about $8 or $9 per
year after the first year while web hosting companies typically
charge $15 or $20 to register a domain.
2. Saves you a lot of hassles. If you
register your domain with your web host then it will be a hassle
if you ever want to change your web host.
3. It makes everything more simple if your
domains are together.
If you get your
domain at Godaddy don't let them talk you into hosting your site
with them. As far as web hosting goes Godaddy has received many
customer reviews that were not good.
Every web hosting company has some unhappy
customers, but our research indicated that people in general
were not pleased with Godaddy's web hosting plans. They are
still a great domain registrar, but we don't recommend them for
web hosting.
Simple as 1, 2, 3...
1. If you know the domain name that you
want for your site then go to Godaddy and purchase it. The price
is under $3 for the first year and around $7 or $8/year after
that. If you're not sure about your domain name yet, you can
read our article on domain
registration.
2. After you purchase your domain name
then you can go ahead and purchase web hosting. During the
sign-up process simply choose the option to transfer your
domain.
3. Once your hosting account is active
your hosting company will send you an email and tell you the
address of your nameservers. The basic structure of the address
will look something like DN2.YOURDOMAIN.NET. Once you have your
nameservers just go into your domain registrar account and
change the nameservers to the one that your hosting company sent
you in their welcome email.
